1. Confirm your reservation by email, sms, WhatsApp or phone and we send an invoice for settlement in advance to secure your places.
2. There are no refunds. In the event that –
a. Any person cancels, you may replace them with others
b. If we are forced by drought, flood or other conditions to stop a trip, alternative dates are offered for mutual agreement
c. If you cancel for any reason:
i Over 14 days, we offer alternate dates
ii 7-13 days, we offer alternate dates and debit 25% of your fee
iii 0-7 days, we may agree to alternate dates but debit 50%
iv. No-show costs you the entire booking.
v. If you postpone but do not take up our available dates as offered, the full booking is forfeit.
3. Please do not be late. We may wait up to half an hour for a late party but then the trip may go and there are no refunds or replacement trips for latecomers. Get the map and directions from us and do not rely on GPS.
4. Please let us have your cellphone number to communicate if you are lost.
5. At the venue, participants must sign the Indemnity and Waiver agreeing to undertake the trip and all associated activities at own personal risk. Parents or guardians must sign on behalf of minors.
6. Participants agree to obey the lawful instructions of the guides and to act responsibly. Trips begin with a safety talk and issue of equipment which must be carefully observed.
7. No drinking of alcohol or taking of strong drugs 8 hours before or during the day on the trip. It is your responsibility to inform us of dietary requirements.
8. Do not bring valuables and personal accessories on the river. Dark glasses need tie-ons. Any camera or cellphone must be waterproofed.
9. The Lead Guides must be informed of any disabilities, allergies or chronic conditions from which you may suffer. You must carry the necessary treatments or antidotes.
10. Own risk. RIVERMAN, its owner, agents, helpers, staff and guides are not responsible for any loss, inconvenience or injury whether to property or persons, or for any accident, illness or death, howsoever arising.
11.Disputes and legal proceedings will fall in the magisterial district of Parys.


It is better to be safe than sorry! Our expeditions take us into remote country and while your safety is our priority we cannot accept responsibility or liability for inconveniences, incidents and any form of accident.

12.1 Ensure that any water you drink, taken from the river, has been purified. Bring up to 20 litres in amounts of 5litres to tide you over for the first few days.
12.2 Provide own medications and water purifying pills for personal use. Our medical first aid kit is for emergencies.
12.3 Be personally insured for outdoor activities and check terms of insurance cover including evacuation cover.
12.4 Check your vehicle insurance. While our parking arrangements have always been secure, no incidents, we cannot give guarantees.
12.5 It is advisable to have a spare set of car keys to be left with our base manager.
12.6 If bringing camera, binoculars, cellphones or any other device, insure for loss or damage. We provide water resistant bags and carry cases but cannot guarantee them.
